DIC has fronted a bold initiative to support and nurture entrepreneurs,  start-ups and SMEs through the creation of the In5 innovation hub and First Steps business centre. In5 aims to foster and promote entrepreneurship and innovation in order to  further develop  the technology start-up ecosystem in Dubai, providing infrastructure, access to funding, and a dynamic and engaging working environment to entrepreneurs.

FirstSteps, established in 2003, was one of the first unique business centres in Dubai to  facilitate quick access for start-ups, SMEs and multinationals to the UAE marketplace. Through the provision of multiple  services including administrative support, licensing and furnished ready-to-use office spaces, First Steps fosters the growth of businesses until they are in a position to expand further.
