Incorporation is essential for companies located at DIC, allowing them to secure legal protection and tax exemptions, obtain credit, and raise capital. The incorporation procedure is highly simplified, free of red tape and involves minimal costs.
Companies can choose to incorporate in one of three ways:
- Branch of Foreign Company
- Branch of UAE-based Company (including other UAE Free Zone licensees)
- Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ LLC)
DIC provides specimen copies of important legal documents like Memorandum of Association (MOA), Articles of Association (AOA), and Board Resolutions. Companies based overseas can send their legal documents directly to DIC, or through a legal representative authorised by a power of attorney, after being notarised by a notary public in the country of origin and attested by the UAE embassy/consulate.
Once all these basic formalities have been completed, DIC issues Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Article of Association and the Trade license.
