Dubai Internet City showcases offerings at world’s largest ICT show

Dubai Internet City (DIC) tapped opportunities for new business relationships with European ICT companies at the CeBIT exhibition held in the German city of Hannover from 9 – 15 March 2006. 

DIC showcased the wide range of opportunities available for European businesses in the fast-growing ICT industry in the region. Participating in the show is part of a new drive by DIC to attract companies to the cluster.

“We can provide a strategic platform and support for European companies seeking to tap the tremendous opportunities emerging in the ICT sector in a vast region surrounding Dubai,” said Jamal Abdulsalam, Executive Director of Dubai Internet City. “CeBIT offers us a gateway to the European market and helps us considerably boost our interaction and relationship with Europe’s business community,” he added. 

The event offered a valuable opportunity for DIC to explore how they could further support European companies in expanding and exploiting opportunities in the region.

CeBIT is the world’s largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments. The key target groups are users from industry, the wholesale/retail sector, skilled trades, banks, the services sector, government agencies, science and all users passionate about technology. CeBIT offers an international platform for comparing notes on current industry trends, networking, and product presentations. CeBIT 2006 was held under the "Digital Solutions for Work & Life" banner.
