Dubai Internet City Brings Together Webmasters and IT Professionals at Google Developer Day

Technology Experts Emphasise Adoption of Online TooaBusinesses today need to have an aggressive online presence and move beyond the utilisation of traditional tools to web-based applications if they want to succeed, according to technology industry professionals at the UAE’s Google Developer Day workshop held in Dubai.

Organised in partnership with Dubai Internet City, the workshop highlighted the need for IT professionals, webmasters and small businesses to understand various Google applications and online tools for enhancing business efficiency.

Speakers from Google for the one-day workshop included Luisella Mazza, Search Quality Senior Strategist, Adel Saoud, Search Quality Strategist, Nasser Saleem Ahmed, Enterprise Sales Engineer, and Wassim Sayegh, Account Strategist at Google.

The first half of the workshop focused on IT professionals and webmasters with discussions focusing on ‘Deploying Apps with Google’s Enterprise Team’ and ‘Improving Websites for Search’. Marketers and small businesses took centrestage during the remaining part of the day, highlighting ways to increase online presence through utilizing tools such as ‘Maps’, ‘YouTube for businesses’, and ‘Google site’. Another major component of the event was exploring ways to increase web traffic and advertising through the use of Google’s ‘Adwords’.
