Sandeep Fernandes and Ajay Shrikhande of Brandcom win top honours
Jamal Abdulsalam, Executive Director of Dubai Internet City gave away the prizes of the Samsung Brain Challenge 2006, Dubai 's most popular annual quiz competition that was held on Saturday.

Sandeep Fernandes and Ajay Shrikhande of Brandcom won the top honours at the quiz. This is the third time that Brandcom is winning the award.
A dubaiquiz.com knowledge property, the Samsung Brain Challenge 2006 attracted more than 120 teams and a 500-strong audience. The quiz, a key fixture in Dubai 's quizzing calendar, was hosted by renowned quiz master Siddhartha Basu.
At the end of an elimination round of 25 questions, six teams were selected for the final round. The quiz, which featured an assortment of general knowledge questions with a slight touch of IT, provided the right challenge for the contestants.
The quizzing was competitive, entertaining and absorbing. The variety and freshness of each round had the audience asking for more. The quizmaster's sharp wit and sense of humor drew peals of laughter and loud applause even as the fortunes of the teams fluctuated with each round and the quiz seemed set for a close finish.
The final standing was 1. Brandcom (Sandeep Fernandes and Ajay Shrikhande), 2. Kraft foods (Vani Walunj and Partha Jha), 3. TNS MEA (Ruso Dordi and Satish Pai), 4. TechDate (Nitin Mathew & Renton D'dousa), 5. Content Syndicate (Maddy Reddy and Shanty Row) and 6. HSBC (Ashley Azavedo and Arun Kumar).
J.H Park , President, Samsung Gulf Middle East, and Mr. Jamal Abdul Salam, Executive Director, Dubai Internet City , presented the prizes at the final award ceremony where the winners took home everything from Samsung IT products to Altec Lansing speakers to electronic goods to Crystal Arc trophies. The quiz featured an audience draw for a Samsung Printer, a Samsung Monitor and a Altec Lansing Speaker.
