Dear Business Partners,
Dubai Internet City has registered some noteworthy achievements in the recent past. The spotlight, however, is taken by the launch of the ‘Majid Bin Mohammed Innovation Center in5’.
Conceptualised under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, in5 aims to promote technological entrepreneurship and facilitate the growth of young innovators in the region through creating opportunities and providing them with access to an exhaustive SME and technology-related knowledge bank.
‘in5’ also took centre-stage during Dubai Internet City’s eleventh successful participation at GITEX Technology Week 2011. Undoubtedly, the center will evolve as an exemplary model of our commitment towards the growth and development of the ICT sector in the UAE.
Among our other milestones, we are proud to feature once again in the fDi rankings, which has placed Dubai Internet City in the eighth spot for ‘Best Free Zone in the Middle East’. We also stood second for ‘Best Facilities’ and seventh for ‘Best Incentives’ from among 130 free zones in the region.
In our role as the largest ICT free zone in the MENA region, we continue to act as a catalyst for technological advancement, innovation and creativity that has firmly established us as the most lucrative technology-orientated community in the region.
Motivated by our accomplishments, we look ahead towards more ambitious goalposts as we move closer to yet another new year. As part of this journey, we will continue to draw upon your participation and contribution to our success.
I do hope you find the third edition of ‘The Circuit’ informative and engaging.
Until the next issue,
Best regards,
Malek Al Malek,
Managing Director,
Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone
