Dear Business Partners

, Welcome to 2nd edition of ‘The Circuit’

During the last quarter, Dubai Internet City took a giant leap by launching the ‘Green Office’ initiative.

The concept has been developed in partnership with TECOM Investments’ Sustainable Energy and Environment Division (SEED).
Our endeavour complements other global and regional green initiativesemerging from heightened environmental concern.

the last quarter was also busy with activities focused on the digital platform which is being increasingly used by both small and large enterprises. As business value increases from platforms such as mobile, video and the internet, you can look forward to receiving about updates on activities and announcements in this direction.

In fact, a survey conducted by Econsultancy, a global source of independent advice and insight on best practices for digital marketing and e-commerce, has forecasted increase in investments in digital channels with 53 per cent of companies planning to escalate their budgets for mobile marketing and 51 per cent for video communication.

Submissions for the first session of ‘DemoCamp’ in 2011 witnessed a similar trend where majority of the participating young entrepreneurs demonstrated technologies and applications on the mobile platform.
DIC will continue to work with these entrepreneurs and the industry in the growth of new technology platforms, paving the way for a bright future for the next generation in the region.

Moving forward, such events will help build the business ecosystem for large and small enterprises. As we head into the second half of 2011, DIC will continue to spearhead initiatives that contribute to shaping the future of this region.

Best regards, Malek Al Malek,
Managing Director,
Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone
